If I was choosing for the Who here would be my Super Bowl medley.
- Baba O’Reilly
- The Seeker
- Love Reign Oer Me
- The Real Me
- Won’t Get Fooled Again
I figure you know all these songs, but Townshend and Daltrey have done some great solo stuff, as well. Here are my 5 favorite Who member solo stuff.
Free Me might have one of the top screams ever in rock music history. From Daltrey’s movie soundtrack, McVicar.
Under a Raging Moon was dedicated to Keith Moon by Daltrey. A little too 80’s keyboardey, but still has that Who’s Next drama.
One of Townshend’s greatest songs is Tough Boys, which was more autobiographical than people knew.
Face the Face is probably the most unlikely song here, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t hold up better than most music made during the mid-80’s.
One of the most beautiful songs of Townshend’s is Slit Skirts. Nostalgic and beautiful. (Note: Not the best video, but superior audio.)
