Who Should be the Super Bowl halftime acts for the next decade

The qualifications to be a good Super Bowl halftime performer is having at least 5 great up-tempo songs which are recognizable to multiple generations.  Because of these qualifications  it precludes rap performers, country acts, and heavy metal groups. The only other qualifier is that you can’t have already done a Super Bowl half-time show. Here is a list of the past performers, so you can’t go with Up with People or Carol Channing.  Sorry.  I know my list skews heavily towards white males, but since Stevie Wonder and Prince have already done the gig, these are the best I could come up with.  If the NFL wants to have successful performances these are the next 10 Super Bowl halftime acts they should choose.

- Elton John

- John Mellencamp  (it’s in Indy, who else would be better?)

– Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young (set list: Cinnamon Girl, Heart of Gold, Suite Judy Blue Eyes, Love the One You’re With, Rockin’ in the Free World)

– Earth Wind and Fire

– John Fogerty

– Van Halen

- Pearl Jam

- Green Day

- Bon Jovi (not a big fan, but they have all the qualifiers needed)
